Policy

 General Incorporated Foundation Gojo (thereafter “Foundation”) has established a Privacy Policy outlining basic principles to protect and manage the personal information handled by the Foundation.

1. Acquisition and use of personal information

 The Foundation shall acquire personal information by fair and lawful means. The personal information shall be used and provided only within the scope of achieving the purpose of use specified in advance or within the scope of the request of laws and regulations, and will be used only within the scope of the purpose of use.

2. Purpose of use of personal information

 The Foundation shall not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use without obtaining the consent of the person in advance. However, this does not apply in the following cases:

  • (1)When required by law.
  • (2)When it is necessary to protect the life, body or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person.
  • (3)When it is necessary to cooperate with a national institution or a local public body or a person entrusted with it in carrying out the affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the person may hinder the performance of the affairs.

3. Security management of personal information

 The Foundation shall take necessary and appropriate measures for security management regarding leakage, loss, falsification, etc. of the personal information handled.

4. Provision of personal information to a third party

 The Foundation will not provide personal information to third parties beyond the scope of the purpose of use. If the Foundation outsources all or part of the handling of personal information to a third party within the scope of the purpose of use, the Foundation will supervise the third party as necessary and appropriate so that the security of personal information can be managed.

5. Disclosure request and inquiry

 If there is a request from the person to disclose, correct, add or delete, or suspend the use of personal information acquired by the Foundation, the Foundation will promptly respond in accordance with the prescribed procedure. However, the Foundation may not be able to respond to requests such as deletion or suspension of use of personal information if required by law or if it is essential for the operation of the Foundation. In addition, the Foundation may ask the person to show the necessary documents to confirm the identity of the person.
